Minnesota requires that you obtain a scaled score of 85 or higher on the
Multistate Professional Responsibility Examiniation.

Examiners INTRODUCTION
The Minnesota Board of Law Examiners ("Board") licenses attorneys to the
practice of law in Minnesota. - conducts a background investigation
on every applicant to the Minnesota bar;
- administers a bar examination every
February and July; and
- accepts applications of attorneys with five years
of practice experience in other states.
BAR
EXAMINATION The Minnesota Bar Examination: -
Is administered on the last Tuesday and Wednesday in February and July.
- Only
ABA-accredited law school graduates are eligible to sit.
- Timely
application filing deadline is October 15 (February exam) and March 15 (July
exam).
- Timely filing fee for non-attorneys is $500.00.
- Timely application filing fee for attorneys sitting for the Minnesota exam who
were admitted in another state for more than six months is $950.
- Late filing
fees (on or before December 1 for the February exam, or May 1 for the July exam)
are $150: Total fee for late filers is $650 ($1100 for attorneys)

Repeaters (if you have taken the Minnesota bar exam before) do not pay the late
filing fee.
